Last Friday the Friends of the Park group that I co-founded with local residents put on a Family Fun Day for the local community. The event was a complete success. There was so much to do for youngsters: 3 bouncy castles, Crystal Palace in the community football training, boxing masterclass with a 3 times world champion, basketball skills, face painting etc etc. Back in 2007 I said we should put on an event at the Rec (see above) and thanks to some really committed local residents this was achieved.
